Tattler Thursday 1/17/13

It is Tattler Thursday again over here at The Wild and Wonderful World of Gingerssnaps!  For those of you new to my page, Tattler Thursday is your chance to be a tattle teller!

Tattler Thursdays are all about telling funny parenting stories, hilarious babysitting stories, crazy stories about your kids, somebody else's kids, or kids in general!  You do not have to be a parent to tell us a story!  This is where once a week, you can let your hair down, vent, rant, share, and be in like company! Everybody  has a nutty kid story!  Anything goes! This is your chance to tattle on your kids, because we all know, they love to tattle on you! Nothing is too weird or gross or off limits!  I love kids, and kids stories!  So start sharing people!  Don't be afraid! Get to tattling!

  1. We were eating dinner the other night and my four yr old son said " So mom, why is our poop yucky?" It didn't catch me off guard, I just rolled with it. So I said "Well, when we eat all the good stuff stays in our body like vitamins and nutrients, and the yucky stuff comes out....thats why its yucky." So then he paused almost knowing thats what I was going to say and then proceeds with "So I don't even have to eat this food you made cause it's just gonna come right out...right?" So basically he was saying I made "yucky" food that night. I just had to laugh out loud.

  2. Cristyl Hill- My tattle for the day: Today is my middle son's 19th birthday. When he was 6 years old we moved to the east coast of Florida; close enough to Cape Canaveral that we could see the space shuttle launches from our front yard. We always tried to take the kids to the beach (about 10 minutes from the house) to view launches because the view was great. For one launch we were running out the door to get to the beach in time and everyone was loaded up except Charley...where was he? He had run back in the house to get his umbrella...there wasn't a cloud in the sky! We still joke about needing an umbrella when we are trying to get out of the house quickly.

  3. Amy Miller- Last night, Grey told me, "Mom, your belly is up to your boobies. We're going to start calling you Fat Amy." Poor guy--it wasn't nice but he just called it as he see it...(Dave reprimanded him and explained he can't say things like that.)

  4. Jessica Blankenship-
When I brought baby boy home from the hospital, my then 2 1/2 year old was SO excited! She wouldn't leave our sides! I will never forget the first time she witnessed a diaper change. Her eyes got big and she said, "Woah! That's a really big poopy!" Hehehe :)

  6. My daughter is 6 and she wanted to help change her baby brother's diaper. We put vaseline on his butt and his "pee pee" to protect from diaper rash. She wanted to put the vaseline on, so I let her. A few minutes later, she told her dad..."Shhh...don't tell anyone but I touched my brother's pee pee." Her dad had to tell her not to go around saying that. We knew it was about a diaper change but....yeah you can see how that would be taken the wrong way. I don't think I'll let her do that part of the diaper change anymore.
